Photos on the QR menu: the dish sells before it reaches the table
August 15, 2026

On paper, a dish is a line. On the guest’s phone, if there is no photo, it is still a line — just smaller. Then they ask. Service describes. The person next to them orders the same “just in case”. Or they order the usual.
A digital menu with photos is not decoration. It is how guests decide without stopping the pass.
“What’s it like?” is time you do not bill
At peak, every dish explanation is delay. The tourist does not understand the description. Locals ask for “the one from the Instagram photo”, which sometimes is already gone.
If the photo lives on the QR menu, each guest sees it at once, in their language, with allergens one tap away. You still take the order. You stop being the catalogue.
It is not a 2019 stock library
Guests can tell stock from your kitchen. Ordenala lets you upload photos per dish (1 on Basic, up to 5 on Standard, up to 10 on Premium) and choose which one shows in the group list.
When plating changes, you change the photo. You do not reprint the carta. You do not send a new PDF to Instagram. The same table QR menu is the one in the bio.
What the photo does for the ticket
- The dessert “nobody orders” appears and gets ordered
- A ración is understood next to a tapa without a speech
- The seasonal dish is seen, not explained
- Fewer returns because “it wasn’t what I imagined”
It does not replace good cooking. It removes the fog between the kitchen and the table.
Start without signing up and judge the preview
You build groups, dishes, and photos on the mockup. If it does not look like your place, you have not paid. When you publish, Basic covers the table; Standard and Premium add a subdomain, an info site, and more photos per dish.
Print the restaurant QR once. Update photos from your phone when the season or the supplier moves.
Create my QR menu — add real photos, not a crop of the paper menu. No account until you publish.
