QR menu for cafés and bakeries: display case + phone, no queue of questions
August 22, 2026

In a café the menu is not a booklet on the table. It is the display case, a chalkboard, and three questions at once at breakfast rush. “Does that have gluten?” “How much is the combo?” “Do you have oat milk in the large?” The team answers and the coffee goes cold.
A QR menu does not replace the case. It removes the queue of explanations while the guest already has the phone in hand.
The counter is worse than the dining room for paper
Reprinting a chalkboard every time the pastry of the day changes does not scale. A PDF on the door gets dirty. Instagram shows photos that are no longer in the case.
The digital menu can list coffees, combos, and pastries with photos, portions (cup / jug, mini / whole), and the official 14 allergens. Anyone with an allergy filters before they reach the counter. Anyone who does not speak the local language sees the name in theirs.
Where the QR lives in a café
On the case, on the bar tent card, on the waiting ticket, in the bio. One link. When the pistachio croissant is gone, you hide it. When butter goes up, you change the brioche price. No extra chalk. No extra Story that then goes stale.
Basic covers bar and terrace if you have them. Standard and Premium add a subdomain — useful if people search “bakery + neighbourhood” — and languages if you are in a tourist street.
No app, no guest signup
Nobody will install an app to order a flat white. They scan and done. You design the menu without an account and publish when the case and the screen match.
Create my QR menu — café and bakery with the same menu on the case and the phone. No signup until you publish.
